Stomping in the Mud Play Group is a rich, natural outdoor play environment where children have the opportunity to play outside,
rain or shine ... a chance for preschoolers to 'live in the moment' while learning through play.

Month End Snapshots - April 2014

Once again our little Stomper's have amazed us with their energy and interest in the world around them. Enjoy!

 Looking for worms!

Looking for bugs under the bark!

Den Building -Day 1
We put together a basket of old sheets, rope and lots of clothes pegs. Without any instruction we set it out for the children and stood back. The children dove in and had a blast. The planning, organizing and negotiating that went into their play was amazing.

Den Building - Day 2
Once again they were excited to get started. This time they knew exactly what they wanted to do.

The clay tiles were brought in for drainage. I heard one child say they needed a tunnel for the river to go through.

They never tire of dropping things off the bridge into the creek below.

Leaf Umbrellas!

Tins with magnets!

Sometimes our walks are long and we need to stop for a rest!

The chestnut seeds we planted last fall are growing!

Hooray for Spring...

Thanks for Stomping by!

  1. Ladies! Awsome fun shown in the SITM photos! From the magnet play and discovery to the grass growing (and trimming), to the wonderful den building photos and my favourite, The fun and practice with scissors and wool. REALLY great to capture the kids at play and just being who they're meant to be at this time in their lives.
Hats off to Dianne and Gaie!
