Stomping in the Mud Play Group is a rich, natural outdoor play environment where children have the opportunity to play outside,
rain or shine ... a chance for preschoolers to 'live in the moment' while learning through play.

Month End Snapshots - January 2014

It doesn't matter what Mother Nature throws our way we always have a Stomping good time. The weather has been cold and damp, and I've often thought about how nice and warm it would be inside.  The children, however, never ask to go indoors - they are too engaged and happy to be at Stomping!

This has always been the 'Running Hill' now it is the 'Rolling Hill!

These two discovered their shadows!

Our wonderful stick forest!

Time to make our bird feeders!

Our forest walks are now followed by some wonderfully warm herbal 'Tiger' tea!

Chalking in the rain...

and stomping in the mud!

This little Stomper discovered how he could move a heavy tree stump...

He had it sliding across the wet grass.

He then enlisted some help and they tried to move bigger ones. They weren't successful, but I bet they try again next week!

This has to be the best piece of play ground equipment that money can't buy...they love it!
See you next month and thanks for Stomping by!

  1. Such an enjoyable time for me - to sit back a look at your little troop of stompers and see all of the interesting, fun and creative ways they can explore with their fellow stompers and yourselves. You give me great ideas!! I - who doesn't like being cold - admire that you're out there in spite of it! Following the kids lead - of wanting to be in the great open spaces. Awesome and extremely important world you're providing for these little ones. Fantastic photographs!
