Let's face it, when you're a preschooler, it wouldn't be a walk in the forest with out lots of running! So, to give the children the freedom to release their running energy I had earlier placed little piles of saw dust along the path as markers for the children to watch for. I explained that the saw dust piles were a signal to stop, and to wait for everyone to catch up.

We found it.... |

Onto the next stopping spot |
At this stop, I showed the children the sign for stop. |
Over the bridge. |
Up the hill. |
We found another pile. |
We love to run up and down the hill. |
Looking for our resident ducks. |
Watching the tree cones float down the river. |
Can you see them ? |
Lots of sticks to find along the way. |
You will notice that the children are quite spread out on our walk,
but I know that they will be waiting at the next saw dust pile. |
Nothing like a good stick. |
The end of our forest walk and another beautiful day.
Thanks for stopping by............ |
